Anișoara Laura Mustețiu Honoured at the Romanian/Australian Anthology – Contemporary Poetry and Prose Gala (2016–2026)
Sydney, 2 May 2026 — At an exceptional cultural event held at the State Library of New South Wales, writer Anișoara Laura Mustețiu was awarded in recognition of her exceptional support and dedication to the Romanian–Australian literary community. The distinction was presented during the Gala Awards, marking the official conclusion of the ten‑year literary project Romanian/Australian Anthology – Contemporary Poetry and Prose.
The ceremony coincided with the launch of Volume 10 – Dialogues, the final title in the collection, bringing to a close an editorial series that united more than two hundred Romanian and Australian authors in a unique literary dialogue on the international cultural stage.

Fourteen authors honoured at the Gala
Fourteen Romanian and Australian authors were honoured during the Gala, selected from among the 205 writers published in the Romanian–Australian Anthology between 2016 and 2026. The distinctions acknowledged their sustained support and meaningful contributions to the project over the past decade.
The event brought together writers, editors, visual artists, and members of the literary community, celebrating ten years of creativity, dialogue, and intercultural collaboration.
A decade-long project led by poet Mihaela Cristescu
The Anthology project was coordinated by poet Mihaela Cristescu, the initiator and driving force behind the entire editorial series. All ten volumes were launched at the State Library of NSW, strengthening the prestige and international visibility of the collection.
